Cara was bred to Chance on Jan 5 and 6. If all goes well, she will be due around March 9. She had an ultrasound on Feb 2 and was confirmed pregnant!

Cara has a therapy type,  people focused temperament.  Cara has a good level of drive and she learns quickly.  She's very sweet with my kids.  Excellent off switch and has always been an easy dog to live with in the house.
All clear on DNA testing.  OFA Excellent hips, normal elbows, normal heart and normal eyes.

Cara was imported from the UK as a puppy.  She was bred by a gamekeeper and her sire and dam are both worked as pick up dogs.  Her sire is Athollridge Gael. Gael is the mainstay of Kirsty’s picking up team and she has described him as an ‘honest dog’. Very good game finder, keen, solid and totally reliable. A kind dog who knows his job and is easy to live with.  Her dam is Heasleydrive Golden Pixie.  Cara's breeder described Pixie as a good steady dog he can rely on.

Chance just turned 10 in Dec.  Chance is easy to train and loves to work.  He's also happy to curl up on the couch and snuggle. His owner describes him as the dog of a lifetime.  He has his MH title and also his UDX title. He is working towards achieving his OTCH.
He goes back to Windbreakers Mighty Mo on his maternal side and many Quartermoon dogs on his paternal side which are known for longevity and hunting ability. Chance's dam, Khaley, was the youngest dog to run at the Master Nationals when she was 2 years old.

He is clear on DNA. OFA Good hips, Normal elbows, normal heart, normal eyes.

There are 15 dogs in the first 5 generations of his pedigree that lived to be 14 or more years old.  His dam just turned 14 and is doing very well. I met her this fall.  She loves kids and has a fantastic temperament.

I'm expecting this litter to produce pups with excellent temperaments, great noses, marking ability, high bird drive, good water attitude.

This is a repeat breeding. Penny is my keeper puppy from the first litter. She has been so easy to work with that my 12 yo daughter has been able to do most of her training. She's an excellent marker, spotting doves from over 100 yards away. I have received many good reports from the families who own the puppies from the first litter. I rarely repeat a breeding, so this says a lot about how much I liked the first litter. Reggie came to the USA as a pup. He came to live with us in the Spring of 2025. He has a lovely personality: friendly, confident, and loves people. Reggie is very biddable. He has a fire in him when I get the bumpers out and loves to work. In the field, he loves to flush pheasants. He has a good nose and he is a strong swimmer. His puppies are doing well in a variety of uses: obedience, agility, hunt tests, and office dogs. Reggie contributes beautiful conformation and good type to his offspring. His amazing temperament complements Rosie's very well. The puppies were all very similar in conformation in the first litter and are maturing beautifully. He has an impressive UK pedigree behind him. Chance, his sire, has won multiple field trial champion awards. His breeder says, "A very sensible dog of excellent character and temperament, fantastic marking dog, good on runners, handles and follows instructions well. Results speak for themselves..." Reggie's dam: "Flo is a compact, intelligent, driven girl with strong hunting ability, who has been my constant companion since the day she arrived. A fabulous family dog, she’s been everywhere with us. She’s a real ‘give anything a go’ type of girl and at almost 10 years old has hardly slowed down."-Her owner Rosie is very easy to train and retains what she knows well. She's an excellent marker and loves to find pheasants. She is the first dog I've done field work training with so we have both been learning as we go. Sometimes I feel like I'm holding her back because of my lack of knowledge, but a friend I train with has encouraged me to keep working at it because of the bond we already have. The kids are good help with running ducks around ponds to help throw and we are having fun! She is fast and very agile. In the house, Rosie has a wonderful off switch. She's very good around my kids. Rosie has a strong field pedigree and there are working service dogs in her maternal line. Genetically clear for diseases that have had tests developed. This breeding should produce pups with great bird drive, high biddability, great marking and scenting ability, and wonderful temperaments. They should also have a good "off switch." 😊 These puppies will be great hunting companions, performance prospects, or active family dogs. There may be a therapy or service dog candidate but I won't know for sure until temperament testing. I have a few spots still available. Send me a message and we'll chat! 0.56% COI 41.73% AVK
